"For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me, says the LORD, that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.” - Jeremiah 13:11 NKJV Jesus came but He did not go away. He is still with us helping us blessing us, moving us beyond ourselves. He certainly did that for His earthly parents. They were moved way out of their comfort zone to be the instruments of God used for His glory. Now the question comes to us after having celebrated His birth is: Has He moved us out of our comfort zones to new opportunities of faith? The world is lost and dying without Him. We have the opportunity to do something about it!! Let us go and let go of our comfort and reach the unreached for His glory. As you read this, I will be in France working with our SBC missionaries and French Pastors to put together a mission musical trip to France in the summer. The date will be announced in the next newsletter. I need evangelists, prayer warriors, more prayer warriors, and musicians to go sing for the glory of God and share His great love with the unreached of Paris. This will be beyond anything that has ever been done there to date and the possibilities are unlimited as to the people we will touch. Music is so important in the French and Arabic cultures in Paris. Your talent is God's opportunity to see lives changed for all eternity. Take a moment to pray right now for me as I speak with all involved to get the details worked out.
This year will be somewhat different in our association because we now have Teams leading us in our efforts. We have three great leaders on the front. Pray for them as they lead in the different areas of service to you the people and churches of the association. This will be exciting as God moves us into the uncomfortable to do great things for His glory.
We will be having a Pastors, Staff and Wives financial retreat in February. You will not want to miss this. It will be a time of fun and learning, too. I know you will be blessed just to get together and study God's Word together. Dr. Tim Nichan and his wife, Tammy, will be coming to lead us along with a great Bible teacher. You will be blessed.
We will begin having a Pastor-Mentor round table meeting on January 16 to begin an opportunity for myself and a few pastors to go through some books on leadership. Please pray, get ready and sign up to be a part of this year long study. We will also be teaching three classes this January-March. Evangelism/Discipleship, Teacher Leader Training, and Baptist Doctrine. If any of your church members are interested in growing in a deeper study of God's Word, call the office before January 16 and sign up.
Thank you all for the gift at Christmas. You all have blessed us so much in these past 4 1/2 years. We are just grateful to God for allowing us to serve you as your Executive Director of St. Johns River Baptist Association. May God bless you real good.
Call me if I can help with anything in your church. Revivals, deacon leader training, January Bible Study or especially if you are eating—call me!! We do stand ready to help. May God give you all your goals and desires for the coming year.

Verse of the day“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:24-25)
