Sending ResumesIt's no surprise that we get lots of questions from Pastors, Ministers of Music, Youth Leaders and other staff members interested in coming to our area. Hey! Who wouldn't want to serve in Florida? Please know that the St. Johns River Baptist Association is happy to help you circulate your resume among our churches. Here's how we handle resumes (these policies are effective May 27, 2004): 1. E-mail submissions of resumes are no longer accepted. If you would like to submit a resume to our churches, please snail-mail your submission to: E-mail submissions after 5/27/04 will be deleted from our computers. You are always welcome to email us with questions about your resume (make sure we received it, etc.), but send the resume the old fashioned way! 2. We will not provide you with a custom list of pastorless churches. 3. We will not receive your resume in order to send it specifically to certain churches. We do not force-feed resumes to our churches; we serve our churches by having resumes ready for them to consider. Search committees are able to view our complete resume file. If a church asks for resumes to be sent to them, we will fill that request using whatever search limitations they ask us to use (age, location, years of experience, level of education, etc). 4. Resumes remain active in our files for one year, and are then removed. If in doubt about the status of your resume, send an updated copy. Verse of the day“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:24-25)
